My horse went out on loan back in November 2009 with a contract.

I got my horse back yesterday (9/5/10) with lameness issues & eye problems.
I am now having to get all this sorted through my own vets.
I was told that the farmer has been spraying pesticides in the fields where the horses were so this inturn could of damaged her eyes !
I was told she was anybodys ride, so it seems that all & sundry have been riding her which was not in the contract.
Her tack came back in an awful state & not in the pristine condition it went out with her.
Some of the items are missing too.

When my horse was returned the loaner never brought her back but a friend did her a favour by doing this, how cowardly.

So please please beware when loaning out your horse.
My horse was loaned out in the Moray area so not too far away from some of you guys.

I have got my horse back & i'm hoping she will be the horse i once knew with some tlc & vets treatment.

I am heartbroken as she means the world to me.
I will NEVER loan a horse out again which is a shame considering there are good loaners out there who do care & love the horses they loan as there own.

XxX

Oh, thats terrible Sad At least you have her back and can care for her injury properly. No wonder you'd never want to loan again-some people out there shouldnt be left in charge of a rock. Dont blame yourself though theres no way of separating the decent folk from the idiots unless you know them really well which is not always possible in loaning circumstances.
I would demand all the missing stuff be returned too-or the money to cover it. What a cheek they have!
